This Music Box was made circa 1850s in Geneva, Switzerland by the renowned Makers of Music Boxes, Clocks and Watches Lecoultre' Freres". This is a fine example of a Key-Wind Music box from the earlier period in the 19th century. Features of music boxes of this era include Very narrow Cases often less elaborate Inlays, a "Dragon's Breath" finish (red) on the case inside, the controls and port for a winding key on the left side of the case hidden by a Hinged flap. This beautiful piece Signed by Lecoultre' has been lovingly restored, is contained in a Rosewood case with an Amazing tone and arrangements. 8 Aires
